A technique to stabilize video frames by shifting the image location across video frames to counteract motion. EIS uses pixels outside the border of the visible frame to provide a buffer for the stabilization technique.

In the context of image pipelines, Middle of Frame (MOF) refers to the temporal position within a frame where the majority of the image data is captured. It is typically used as a reference point for various image processing operations, such as image stabilization or autofocus.
