VFP is a FPU coprocessor extension to the ARM instruction set. It provides single- and double- precision floating point computation support.
Serial Peripheral Interface [SPI]
A 3- or 4-wire full-duplex serial communication bus.
Secure Hash Algorithms [SHA]
A family of cryptographic hash functions that are commonly used in computer systems.
Serializer/Deserializer [SERDES]
A pair of functional blocks commonly used in high-speed communications to compensate for limited input/output. These blocks convert data between serial data and parallel interfaces in each direction.
Secure Digital Input/Output [SDIO]
An electronics communication bus.
Real-Time Clock [RTC]
A computer clock that keeps track of current calendar time.
Port-Mapped I/O [PMIO]
I/O that is accessed using a port value and special assembly instructions.
Programmed Input/Output [PIO]
Can refer to MMIO (memory mapped I/O) or PMIO (port-mapped I/O)
Open-Drain
Refers to a current sink on a FET output.
Open-Collector
Refers to a current sink on a transistor output. Functionally the same as an ‘open drain’.
