Generalization/Specialization Relationship

Generalization/specialization relationships can also be thought of as inheritance. Inheritance permits modeling of structural elements that are similar to each other in some, but not all, respects. There are common properties to all elements, but there are also unique properties that distinguish the elements from each other. We can also view generalization/specialization as a taxonomy of elements.
